Chennai, July 23 -- Yet another alleged custodial torture resulting in the death of a young man in Tamil Nadu on Thursday has put the police and the TVK government on the defensive, with the opposition pouncing and cornering Chief Minister Vijay two weeksahead of the budget session.
This comes close on the heels of the custodial death of a 34-year-old disabled man in Nagercoil District jail last week, which rattled the state and invited strong condemnation from political parties and civil society.
