New Delhi, April 29 -- Retail prices of petrol and diesel will remain unchanged, with the government asserting that adequate fuel stocks are available at all outlets and urging citizens to avoid panic buying amid the evolving West Asia situation.
At a high-level inter-ministerial briefing held at the National Media Centre, officials said public sector oil marketing companies continue to maintain stable supplies, even as global crude markets remain volatile. The government has also taken steps such as excise duty reductions and export levies to shield domestic consumers from international price shocks.
