Washington, July 16 -- The Department of War has announced a new enhanced screening protocol aimed at improving service member performance, strengthening force readiness, and supporting the long-term health of America's military personnel.

Chief Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell said Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has directed the implementation of mandatory testosterone deficiency screenings for all Active Duty and Reserve Component service members aged 30 and older during their Periodic Health Assessment (PHA). Personnel under the age of 30 will also have the option to request the screening.
