Nagpur, Aug. 18 -- : Maharashtra Congress leader Nana Patole on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the BJP amid the ongoing political row over the recitation of 'Vande Mataram', saying those who sided with the British during the freedom struggle had no right to lecture the Congress on patriotism.
Speaking to reporters here, Patole said the BJP should refrain from questioning the Congress's nationalist credentials and instead introspect.
"What can the BJP say? They have not taught us patriotism. Those who were with the British during the freedom struggle, will they teach us patriotism? The BJP should not lecture us on patriotism and should first look within itself," he said.
