Patna, March 15 -- The Patna Marathon 2026, held here during the wee hours under the theme "Run for Nasha-Mukt Bihar", saw enthusiastic participation from more than 10,000 runners, who expressed strong public support for the pledge to build a drug-free and healthy Bihar.
The marathon was flagged off by Bihar Education Minister Sunil Kumar, international badminton star P. V. Sindhu and several other senior officers of the state government at the historical Gandhi Maidan.
The marathon, organised jointly by the Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department of the Bihar Government and the State Bank of India, started at 3:30 AM from Gandhi Maidan and covered 42.2 km via JP Ganga Path, Atal Path and finished back at Gandhi Maidan.
