Patna, Oct. 9 -- The Patna High Court has sought a detailed report from the Principal District Judge, Rohtas, over proceedings allegedly initiated by a trial court after the records of a criminal appeal had been sent to the High Court.

A division bench of Justices Rajeev Ranjan Prasad and Sunil Dutta Mishra took up the issue after Advocate General S.D. Sanjay raised concerns over the trial court's actions during a special mention. The bench described the situation as "peculiar" and "unprecedented".
