Patna, Sept. 17 -- Taking serious note of the alleged delay in registering an FIR by the police and Nalanda district administration in a case involving the disappearance of a newborn, the Patna High Court observed that the matter was a "burning example" of an "insensitive approach" by the officials.

A division bench comprising Justice Rajeev Ranjan Prasad and Justice Sunil Dutta Mishra made the observations while hearing a criminal writ petition filed by Avinash Kumar, whose infant child is allegedly missing.
