Patna, June 12 -- District and Additional Sessions Judge-21, Sunita Rani today sentenced five persons, including three brothers, to life imprisonment in connection with a decade old murder case.
The judge pronounced the verdict after finding the accused guilty under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code.
The convicts have been identified as three brothers Pramod Rai, Chhotu Rai and Shankar Rai, along with Vinod Rai and Rajesh Rai alias Jhanjhat Rai, all residents of the Kankarbagh area of Patna.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 each. In addition, Chhotu Rai was convicted under the Arms Act and fined a separate Rs 30,000.
