Panchkula, July 17 -- Railway passengers in Haryana are set to benefit from upgraded travel facilities after Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the redeveloped Kalka and Narwana railway stations to the nation under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said on Friday.
Addressing a gathering at the redeveloped Kalka Railway Station, Saini said the transformation of railway stations is aimed at making train travel safer, more comfortable and passenger-friendly while preserving the cultural identity of each location.
The Prime Minister inaugurated the two stations through video conferencing from Jalandhar as part of the nationwide dedication of 75 redeveloped Amrit Bharat stations.
