Nice (France), June 14 -- India's Parul Chaudhary bettered her own national record in the women's 5000m event by clocking a new personal best time of 15:04.26 at the Meeting Nikaia 2026 here.
The 31-year-old Indian athlete finished second in the race behind Ethiopia's Bereka Seniya Mohammed, who just about edged out Parul from the top spot with a meet record time of15:03.85 on Saturday.
Alessia Zarbo of France was a distant third with a season best 15:16.83. Parul's time in Nice saw her eclipse her own previous personal best and the standing national record of 15:10.35, which she had achieved at a Los Angeles athletics meet three years back.
