New Delhi, Aug. 12 -- Parliament has approved the National Co-operative Development Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2026, with the Rajya Sabha passing the legislation by voice vote on Wednesday, a day after it was cleared by the Lok Sabha.
The measure seeks to make financial assistance to cooperative societies faster, more flexible and directly accessible, while expanding the role of the National Co-operative Development Corporation (NCDC) in supporting cooperative development.
