Chennai, Aug. 25 -- The Tamil Nadu Assembly witnessed a fiery debate on Tuesday with arguments and counter-arguments from the Treasury and the Opposition benaches over the TVK government's decision to scrap the proposed Parandur greenfield airport.
During the debate on the demand for grants for Industries and other departments, Ministers and opposition DMK and AIADMK members traded sharp barbs over land acquisition, farmers' interests and allegations surrounding the project.
