Bengaluru, May 23 -- Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara on Saturday triggered fresh political speculation by asserting that he is capable of handling "any responsibility", including the post of Chief Minister, if entrusted by the party leadership. Speaking to reporters here, Parameshwara said he had efficiently discharged his duties as Home Minister for nearly eight years and had no dissatisfaction with the portfolio.
"If any additional responsibility is given along with the Home portfolio, I will handle it. Even if the Chief Minister's post is given, I can manage it. I have that capability," he said when asked whether he could shoulder the top post in the state.
