Asuncion, May 2 -- Paraguay will finalize its preparations for the FIFA World Cup witha friendly against Nicaragua, the Paraguayan Football Association said.
The match will be played on June 5 at the Defensores del Chaco Stadium in the Paraguayan capital Asuncion, six days before the start of the tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
"The Albirroja will face Nicaragua in what will be the final test ahead of the World Cup," the association said in a statement on Friday.
Paraguay will open its World Cup campaign against the United States on June 12 before facing Turkiye and Australia in Group D.
