Prayagraj, Aug. 18 -- Independent MP from Purnia Rajesh Ranjan, alias Pappu Yadav, did not appear before a local court here on Tuesday in connection with a case related to a mock-priest skit over the alleged theft of donations from the Ram Temple in the Parliament premises.

Neither Pappu Yadav nor any advocate representing him appeared before the court. The court, however, issued a summons to Pappu Yadav, directing him to appear at the next hearing.
