Panchkula, Aug. 4 -- The Panchkula district administration has directed officials to expedite investigation and prosecution of cases registered under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, while ensuring timely financial assistance to eligible victims.
Chairing a meeting of the District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee, Deputy Commissioner Satpal Sharma reviewed all 18 cases registered under the Act in the district and instructed the concerned departments to pursue them on priority before courts so that victims receive timely justice.
