Panchkula, Sept. 1 -- Haryana Police have busted a vehicle theft gang allegedly operating across Panchkula, Chandigarh, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, arresting four persons, including the alleged mastermind and a mechanic, and recovering 12 stolen motorcycles and two cars.
The arrests were made by the Crime Branch-3 team during an investigation into a motorcycle theft reported in Morni.
Police said the gang primarily targeted Splendour motorcycles, using a bunch of duplicate keys to steal vehicles from different locations. Three accused were arrested on August 30 and subsequently taken on three-day police remand for questioning.
