Panchkula, Aug. 18 -- Panchkula witnessed a sudden change in the weather on Tuesday afternoon as torrential rain lashed the city, leaving several roads waterlogged and disrupting traffic.

The downpour intensified in a short span, with large stretches of road submerged in rainwater. At several locations, the accumulated water flowed rapidly across the roads, making them resemble streams and making movement difficult for commuters.

Several major routes and low-lying areas witnessed heavy water accumulation and strong water flow. On some roads, rainwater was seen flowing like drains, forcing motorists to negotiate the flooded stretches with caution.
