Panchkula, June 14 -- In a chilling case that has sparked outrage, Panchkula Police have arrested the driver accused of allegedly abandoning an injured road accident victim and later dumping his body to cover up the crime.
With the arrest of the main accused, all three persons involved in the case have now been taken into custody.
The accused, identified as Ranjit of Ambala, was allegedly driving the loading tempo that struck Charanjit Singh on June 7.
According to police, instead of rushing the injured man to a hospital, the accused allegedly conspired to conceal the incident and dispose of the body in an attempt to erase evidence.
