Varanasi, Aug. 26 -- On the occasion of Shravan Purnima, the residents of Kashi will celebrate the traditional Jhulanotsav by placing Baba Vishwanath and his family on a swing. Preparations for this have begun at the Mahant's residence in Tedhinim.
The temple's Mahant, Pt. Vachaspati Tiwari, stated that the Jhulanotsav for Baba's movable idol will be held at the Vishwanath Temple on Friday, the occasion of Shravan Purnima (Rakshabandhan). Prior to this, a special greenery decoration and worship of the movable idol of Panchbadan Baba will be performed at the Mahant's residence in Tedhinim on Thursday, as per tradition.
