Jerusalem, Aug. 15 -- Palestinian voter registration and data updates began in the occupied West Bank on Saturday ahead of legislative elections scheduled for Nov. 28, setting the stage for the first Palestinian parliamentary vote in nearly two decades.
Registration centres opened on Saturday morning and will remain open until Wednesday evening, according to the timetable issued by the Central Elections Commission, local media reported.
The commission urged eligible Palestinians who are not currently on the electoral register to register, while asking existing voters to update their details where necessary. It described voter registration as a key step in preparations for the elections.
