Chennai, July 17 -- A major controversy has erupted in Tamil Nadu over the alleged fraudulent registration of land linked to the famous Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple in Palani, one of the six abodes of Lord Muruga, With serious allegations of forgery and illegal transfer and registration surfacing, the case has now entered a crucial phase as a probe by the Crime Branch-CID began on Friday.

Five officials from the REvenue, Registration and other departments were questioned by the CB-CID based on the case details received from the Palani police.
