Islamabad, May 28 -- Pakistan Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar is set to head for Washington on Friday for talks with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, amid Islamabad's intensifying efforts to secure a lasting settlement between the US and Iran. Initially set to take place on Thursday, before being rescheduled, according to the Pakistani foreign ministry, Dar and Rubio would "review bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.
