Islamabad, May 24 -- Pakistan's Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir reportedly conducted intensive negotiations with the Iranian leadership in the past 24 hours, which have resulted in some "encouraging progress towards a final understanding", said the military's media wing on Saturday.
As per the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Munir's discussions in Tehran took place in a "positive and constructive environment" and significantly advanced ongoing mediation efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions following the April 8 ceasefire.
