Chandigarh, June 1 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached immovable properties worth Rs 1,595.85 crore in connection with the PACL investment fraud case, further tightening its action against one of the country's largest alleged financial scams.
The attached assets comprise 14 properties belonging to Gyan Sagar Educational and Charitable Trust located in Punjab's Ramnagar area.
According to the ED, the attachment was carried out by its Delhi Zonal Office under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). With this latest action, the total value of movable and immovable assets attached in India and abroad in the PACL case has reached approximately Rs 28,626 crore.
