Dimapur, June 1 -- More than 6,000 government officials will be engaged in the conduct of Census 2027 in Nagaland.

The census will be carried out in two phases, officials said on Monday.

The first phase of house-listing operations will provide citizens an opportunity to enumerate their households through online self-enumeration facility from June 16 to June 30 this year.

This will be followed by verification of the self-enumerated data and enumeration of households.

The second phase, scheduled for February 2027, will involve the population enumeration, during which population data will be collected across the state.
