Orange County, May 24 -- More than 44,000 residents across several cities in Garden Grove and the wider Orange County were evacuated after authorities warned that a leaking industrial tank at an aerospace facility in Orange County, California, containing thousands of gallons of toxic chemicals, was likely to explode.

According to officials, the compromised tank at an aerospace facility in Garden Grove contained around 7,000 gallons of methyl methacrylate - a highly flammable, and volatile chemical used in manufacturing plastic.
