Lucknow, March 7 -- With the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Uttar Pradesh, authorities have removed a total of 44,952 names from the voter list, covering over 30 million voters.
The deletions come as part of claims, objections, and routine updates, with approximately 86 percent of applications already heard.
Most removals were initiated by voters themselves or resulted from death, duplication, or migration.
"In 37,132 cases were voter-initiated cases, while the remainder were processed through migration or Form-7 submissions.
