Jammu, July 27 -- More than 3800 Shri Amarnath Yatra pilgrims on Monday left for the cave shrine for Baltal route in South Kashmir Himalayas here from Bhagwati Nagar base camp.

The yatra suspended on July 19 as a precautionary measure in view of weather advisory across Jammu and Kashmir, particularly along the twin pilgrimage Pahalgam and Baltal routes leading to the holy cave shrine was resumed on Saturday.

As per officials, with a fresh batch of 3823 pilgrims departing from the Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas only for the Baltal base camp.

The batch left in a fleet of 140 vehicles under elaborate security arrangements.

No convoy was dispatched for the Pahalgam route, they said.
