Aizawl, March 4 -- Mizoram issued more than 3.36 lakh Inner Line Permits (ILPs) to domestic visitors over the past two financial years, underlining both the steady inflow of non-resident Indians into the state and the continued relevance of the century-old protective regime governing entry into the region.
Home Minister K. Sapdanga informed the Mizoram Assembly in a written reply to Lalchhandama Ralte of the Mizo National Front (MNF) that 3,36,000-plus ILPs were issued during 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 up to February 16.
The permits, mandatory for Indian citizens from outside the state seeking temporary entry into Mizoram, generated revenue exceeding Rs 15.12 crore during the period, he said.
