Shimla, May 24 -- More than 2.34 lakh people have joined the Himachal Pradesh government's 'Drug-Free Himachal' campaign with authorities claiming encouraging public participation and growing awareness against drug abuse across the state.
According to an official spokesperson here on Saturday, the campaign launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is yeilding positive results.
The Panchayati Raj Department has imparted special training to volunteers associated with the campaign on prevention of narcotic substance abuse, disaster management and social awareness activities to help them effectively tackle the menace at the grassroots level, he said.
