Shimla, May 27 -- The State Election Commission on Wednesday said the second phase of polling for the General Elections to Panchayati Raj Institutions-2026 would be conducted on May 28 in 1276 Panchayats across Himachal Pradesh.

According to the commission, Secretary Surjeet Singh Rathore, a total of 17,30,030 voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in the second phase, including 8,74,416 male voters, 8,55,597 female voters, and 17 voters under the "other" category.

Among the districts going to polls in the second phase of Panchayati Raj elections on May 28, Kangra has the highest number of voters at 3,95,856, followed by Mandi with 2,72,181 voters, Shimla with 1,74,514 voters, and Chamba with 1,48,219 voters, states the commissio...
