Bhubaneswar, July 30 -- More than 1.20 lakh tuberculosis patients in Odisha have received nutritional and social support through over 21,000 registered Ni-kshay Mitras, making the state one of the leading performers in implementing the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (PMTBMBA), officials said on Wednesday.
The state's extensive community participation under the Ni-kshay Mitra Initiative has helped build one of the strongest support networks under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), reinforcing Odisha's commitment to achieving the goal of a TB-free state while contributing to the national mission of a TB-Mukt Bharat.
