Hyderabad, July 20 -- More than one kilogram of gold jewellery was stolen from an export office at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad after unidentified burglars allegedly broke into the premises through a washroom window.
According to police, the theft took place at Gurukrupa Exports on Road No. 10 on Saturday night. The stolen ornaments, weighing 1,028.59 grams, included seven gold necklaces and seven pairs of earrings that had been kept in a locker for diamond-setting work.
The incident came to light after the office manager lodged a complaint on behalf of a businessman from Surat, Gujarat. During the investigation, police found that the burglars had entered the office by breaking a washroom window before targeting the locker.
