Wardha, July 1 -- : Two friends drowned while bathing in the Panchdhara Dam at Ridhora village in Maharashtra's Wardha district after they reportedly ventured into deep waters during an outing, police said on Wednesday.
The victims, identified as Om Varathi and Rakesh Andaskar , both residents of Wardha city, visited the dam along with two other friends on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the information received, Om Varathi (38), a resident of Sawji Nagar), Rakesh Andaskar (34) , resident of Adivasi Colony), Pravin Hivse , resident of Gajanan Nagar and Chandu Meshram , resident of Sawji Nagar, all from Wardha city, had gone to the Ridhora dam on Tuesday afternoon for recreation.
