Bhubaneswar, June 1 -- The Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS), under the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department, on Monday launched the "Mango Festival-2026" in Bhubaneswar to strengthen direct market linkages between mango growers and consumers and promote naturally ripened mangoes.

Inaugurating the festival, Panchayati Raj Minister Ravi Narayan Naik said the initiative would enable farmers to sell their produce directly to consumers, ensuring better returns while showcasing the rich diversity of Odisha's mango varieties.

The festival is being organised at four locations in Bhubaneswar, while similar events are being held in 18 districts across the state, including Angul, Balangir, Balasore and Sundargarh. The i...
