Bhubaneswar, Aug. 1 -- The Orissa High Court has asked the judicial commission probing the March 16 fire at the Trauma Care ICU of SCB Medical College and Hospital, which claimed 12 lives, to grant permission for repair and renovation of the damaged unit at the earliest in view of patient welfare.
A Division Bench of Justice K.R. Mohapatra and Justice V. Narasingh observed that the repairs were urgently required and expressed the expectation that the commission would accord the necessary approval without delay.
