Patna, May 21 -- Bihar Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha on Thursday said that organic fertilisers developed by Sri Sri Agriculture Trust could emerge as an effective alternative to chemical fertilisers and prove a boon for farmers in the coming years.
Sinha said here that in view of rising global tensions, particularly in the Middle East, and the resulting supply challenges, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for reducing the consumption of fertilisers and fuel by 50 percent. He said organic fertilisers are among the key alternatives being explored to achieve this goal.
