Hyderabad, Aug. 3 -- The traditional 'Rangam' ritual marked the spiritual climax of the Lashkar Bonalu festival at the historic Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad on Monday, with temple oracle Swarnalatha predicting abundant rainfall across Telangana this year while cautioning devotees about the danger of floods.
Participating in the centuries-old ritual, where divine messages are believed to be conveyed through an oracle, Swarnalatha declared that Telangana would receive abundant ("Aquarius") rainfall this year. However, she warned that heavy rains could trigger severe flooding and cautioned that there is a high risk of people being swept away in floodwaters.
