Bhubaneswar, July 29 -- In a major push towards building a digitally empowered Odisha, the state government has announced an ambitious plan to extend high-speed optical fibre internet connectivity to more than 50,000 villages within the next three years.
As part of the initiative, all 6,799 Gram Panchayats across Odisha will be upgraded with IP-MPLS technology through a ring topology network, while Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services will be expanded up to the village level.
