Agartala, April 24 -- The ongoing oppressive heat and humidity across Tripura is likely to continue for the next few days due to a temperature rise caused by strong solar radiation, the Agartala Meteorological Centre indicated in its latest weather advisory.
All the districts are forecasted to have daytime temperatures reaching 36degC or higher, which is 2 to 4 degrees above the usual seasonal range.
Recent observations show that the state has already felt the impact, with the mercury hitting 36.6degC in the last 24 hours, the highest recorded temperature for April.
The combination of elevated humidity has intensified the discomfort, potentially leading to heat-related health issues if precautions are not taken.
