Lucknow, April 29 -- Even as the opposition has yet to plan a strategy to counter the Yogi Adityanath government in the day-long special session of the Uttar Pradesh legislature slated for Thursday, the ruling NDA has planned a big day to match the Samajwadi Party and Congress over the women reservation.

With 2027 assembly polls just over 10 months away, this special session could be a showdown between the ruling and opposition benches in the state assembly.

SP, the principal opposition party, has convened a meeting of its legislature party to finalise its agenda on the issue on Wednesday.
