New Delhi, Sept. 23 -- Opposition parties on Wednesday stepped up their attack on the Election Commission of India (ECI) and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, demanding his immediate removal and greater scrutiny of the functioning of the poll panel after a report that Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi had formally raised objections on several occasions to decisions concerning voter registration, deletion and restoration of names, changes to Form 6 and the management of electoral-roll data.
