Hyderabad/New Delhi, April 18 -- union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy on Saturday accused opposition parties of blocking key legislations, including the Women's Reservation Bill and the Delimitation Bill, terming the move a "historic mistake".

Addressing a press conference in Delhi, Kishan Reddy alleged that the Indian National Congress and its allies failed to present a clear stand on the Bills and adopted contradictory positions, leading to their obstruction in Parliament.

The union Minister said the Centre had clearly outlined its proposal to increase parliamentary and assembly seats by 50 per cent, and had conveyed its intent through all-party meetings and public outreach initiatives led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. ...
