Bhubaneswar, March 9 -- The Odisha Assembly witnessed a dramatic walkout on Monday as opposition parties BJD and Congress accused the Food Supply and Consumer Welfare Minister of misrepresenting facts amid ongoing issues in the state's food security system.

During the debate on adjournment motion, Opposition Chief Whip Pramilla Mallik and BJD MLA Pratap Keshari Deb claimed that eligible beneficiaries were being excluded from food schemes, and farmers were facing difficulties in selling their paddy.

Minister Krushna Chandra Patra however, dismissed the allegations as baseless and politically motivated, urging the Speaker to reject the motion.
