Lucknow, Aug. 11 -- Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Tuesday said the opposition's political strategies for the 2027 Assembly elections would fail, claiming that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would return to power in the state for a third consecutive term.
In a social media post, Maurya took aim at the Samajwadi Party (SP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Congress, saying that no matter how many political equations the opposition parties tried to forge, they would not succeed in their efforts to dislodge the BJP.
He said the people of Uttar Pradesh had already seen through what he described as "mismatched and opportunistic alliances" of the opposition.
