Patna, April 19 -- Rajya Sabha MP and national vice president of the Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha Darshana Singh Sunday, alleged that the opposition's "double standards" led to the failure of the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam to be passed during the special session of Parliament.
Singh told news persons here that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had introduced the bill with the objective of empowering women and had expected support from opposition parties on such a crucial issue. However, she claimed that the opposition failed to extend cooperation.
