Chennai, Oct. 2 -- The Crime Branch (CCB) Wing of the Tiruchi City police has arrested a functionary of the main oppositionDMK, in connection with the Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple land fraud case.
The CCB police arrested DMK Srirangam Area Secretary N.Ramkumar last evening near Panjapur on the Tiruchi-Madurai highway while he was proceeding to Madurai Bench of Madras High Court where he has filed an anticipatory bail plea. However, after the court dismissed his plea, he was remanded in judicial custody till October 15.
