Patna, Sept. 26 -- BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi today accused the opposition of trying to create confusion and distrust among people over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Saraogi said the Election Commission is a constitutional and autonomous institution and raising baseless questions over its electoral process amounts to an attempt to undermine public trust in democratic institutions.
He said different suggestions may emerge during internal deliberations, but decisions are ultimately taken through consensus. He alleged that attempts to create confusion and distrust over SIR begin whenever elections approach.
