Panchkula, Aug. 9 -- Haryana Police have intensified their anti-narcotics efforts under Operation Trackdown, arresting six alleged drug smugglers in six cases and recovering 606 grams of heroin and 1.565 kg of opium, valued at over Rs 1.25 crore, between August 1-7 in Panchkula.
Most recently, Panchkula Police Crime Branch-2 arrested Surender, also known as Lala, a Barwala resident currently living in Zirakpur, and recovered 204 grams of heroin from him.
He was presented in court and remanded to police custody for four days.
A Haryana Police spokesperson stated that the arrest followed a tip-off on August 7 that the accused was waiting near the Sector 20 Sewage Treatment Plant on a scooter to supply heroin. Police apprehended him at the ...
